Description

The POWERNEX MUS Series is a compact photo proximity sensor designed for object detection and position sensing in industrial automation and PLC control systems. Featuring a 5mm wide sensing slot, infrared light source and 3kHz response frequency, the series operates from 5–24VDC and is available with NPN or PNP open-collector outputs and selectable Light-ON/Dark-ON operation.

With multiple mechanical configurations for installation flexibility, the MUS Series detects opaque objects from 0.8 × 1.2mm, provides repeatability below 0.03mm, and incorporates surge and reverse-polarity protection. A standard 2m, 4-core cable and an operating temperature range of-25°C to +55°C support integration into industrial sensing applications.
