The MEAN WELL range expands to include a range of accessories for installing power supplies with the PowerNex range. The PowerNex range includes electrical enclosure cabinets, DC-powered fans, connectors, and more.
For example, a MEAN WELL customer required a high-powered, enclosed power supply to power a conduit-bending machine. These machines feature high-strength hydraulic pumps to bend the conduit, whilst simultaneously requiring a power supply to charge an onboard battery that supports a broader system architecture.
The MEAN WELL UHP-2500-24 was determined to be a suitable power supply to support; however, it needed to be installed near the machine with considerations for protection from dust, whilst also requiring external cooling systems. In this scenario, the customer installed the UHP-2500-24 into a PowerNex ST304010 steel electrical enclosure cabinet, modifying the body to include a DC fan and an IEC C14 AC Power connector at the base.
